Impecável Tinto 2024 is a focused, floral red that perfectly exemplifies the precision and elegance achievable with Touriga Nacional sourced from 30 to 50-year-old vines situated in the Serra da Estrela sub-region of the Dão region. The altitude, between 400 and 700 meters, and granite-based soils of this cooler microclimate bring clarity, freshness, and precision to the wine, highlighting the purest expression of the grape in its original landscape.

The grapes are hand-harvested in September, carefully sorted, and gently processed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, followed by malolactic fermentation and six months of aging in the same tanks. There is no oak influence—just carefully preserved fruit and acidity. The goal is transparency, not embellishment.

In the glass, the wine shows a vivid ruby hue with medium intensity. The nose is expressive and lifted, showing distinctive violet, bergamot blossom, and a touch of pine needle, layered with soft spice and balsamic tones. On the palate, the structure is firm but supple. Fresh acidity carries the fruit without heaviness. Tannins are smooth and integrated. The finish is clean, long, and lightly mineral—built for versatility at the table.

This is a gastronomic red that works across a range of dishes. It pairs well with lightly spiced meats, both red and white, as well as pasta-based dishes. It also performs with substance-rich vegetarian options—think legumes, beets, sweet potato, or semi-aged cheeses. It is suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

The wine has 13% alcohol, with a pH of 3.6, total acidity at 5.2 g/L, and low levels of free and total SO₂. Production is limited to 19,845 bottles and just 50 magnums. This is a wine made with control and intention, guided by Carlos Raposo’s detail-driven approach to Dão winemaking.

Critical response has been strong. James Suckling scored a previous vintage 93/100, and Jancis Robinson awarded it 17/20, both noting the wine’s aromatic profile and freshness as standout qualities.
